Hi, I'm Andy a level 4 Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. I've a passion for helping people who want to get fitter, become more active and lose weight as they grow older.
I'm currently training to be a strength and conditioning coach and part of a UK elite coach mentoring programme. I use a much more detailed scientific approach to training and fitness practices to offer my clients a truly comprehensive training programme beyond what you'd expect from a regular personal trainer.

I use an App (iPhone & Android) to monitor and programme my clients weekly activities outside the gym sessions and analyse their food and nutritional intake.
Many people often feel intimated exercising in a busy gym environment with things like hygiene, limited access to equipment, privacy and the feeling of always being watched creating a sense of performance anxiety.
I operate out of a fully equipped private gym located in Sowton, Exeter.
It contains strength training equipment, functional training kit and has a variety of cardiovascular training machines which pretty much caters for all forms of training. The gym only allows a smaller number of trainers to use the gym at any given time so is never busy and has toilets, changing rooms and showers to use during and after your session.
Before we can start to make changes to your diet we need to find out about current situation regarding your body composition using an electrical impedance device which measures your muscle mass, bone mass and the amount of body fat you have.
Simply saying you're overweight or have a high BMI isn't enough, we need to work out what macronutrients (Food types) and the percentages of them you should be consuming to remain healthy.
Long term health is the main priority and weight loss by means of starvation, although achievable is not sustainable and the weight will come back on over time.
We can then start to implement lifestyle and dietary changes that will facilitate the achievement of your weight loss goals.

Once signed up, I'll get you setup on the APP and send out a questionnaire to provide me with your goals, fitness level, and any other relevant information. From there we'll arrange your first gym session and get started.
